Supercritical and subcritical transition in liquid crystal mixtures: Temperature and electric field effect

Abstract

The mixtures are relevant in the technological development of liquid crystals cells. Mixtures provide a mesomorphic range to room temperature and adequate critical voltage to induce molecular reorientation, switch ON-OFF. The polymorphism gives a rich variety of transitions, which become significant when this happens at room temperature. In this talk, we will show that mesophases and transitions between them are harnessing by the variation of constituents.
