Abstract

The treatment of ?- and ?-cyclodextrins with the half-sandwich complexes of iron, afford the inclusion compounds CpFe(L2)A-CD (? and ?) (A = Cl, I), L2 = dppe, (CO)2, dppe = Ph2P(CH2)2PPh2, [CpFe(L2)L]PF6·CD (?- and ?-) L' = neutral donor ligands and [(CpFe(dppe))2-?-CN]PF6·2CD (? and ?-)- The inclusion compounds [CpFe(dppe)NCCH3]PF6 · ?-CD and [CpFe(dppe)(?1-dppm)]PF6·?-CD present a laminar structure.
