OGC student app challenge 2013
Open GeoSpatial Consortium
Estados Unidos, 2013
My Colleague and PhD Student Ebrahim Poorazizi won the OGC student app challenge 2013, in which we present the WalkYourPlace app. This browser-based application utilizes heavily OGCs WPS standard to perform an evaluation of urban accessibility, similar to the webpage WalkScore.com. I have been co-supervising Ebrahim and developed parts of the backend processing - that utilizes the free and open source software OpenTripPlanner.org to generate a locations accessible area using walking, biking and transit.
