[ Part of the doctorate training of Jeffrey Pang was a 3 months research stay (September-December 2009) at my institution (CRM, UAB, Barcelona). The objective of this stay was to get acquainted with semialgebraic techniques and work with me in topics of Tame Optimization. This gave rise to the following article : A. Daniilidis, J. C. H. Pang, Continuity and differentiability of set-valued maps revisited in the light of tame geometry, J. London Math. Soc 83 (2011), 637–658. (This work is part of his PhD Thesis, defended on May 2010.)
