He has also conducted significant research projects in International Law. Rafael Plaza conducted his PhD thesis on Transnational Power Transmission, a study aimed at exploring international legal mechanisms to further power grids interconnections, unrestrained cross border power transit and the integration of renewable sources of energy into domestic energy matrices. Mr. Plaza is Research Fellow at University of Chile´s Law School, Associate of the Melbourne Academy for Sustainability & Society (MASS) and Member of the Centre for Resources, Energy and Environmental Law (CREEL) in Melbourne, Australia.
