Effect of body condition and melatonin implants, inserted at different times of the year, on ovarian activity in goats maintained without male contact from the time of implantation
Reproductive responses to sexually active buck of does treated with melatonin when body weight/body condition is increasing or decreasing
The reproductive response to the male effect of 7- or 10-month-old female goats is improved when photostimulated males are used
When using photostimulated bucks to induce the male effect in female goats living at Mediterranean latitudes, a male: female ratio of 1:20 is optimum
The isolation of females from males to promote a later male effect is unnecessary if the bucks used are sexually active
The reproductive performance of female goats treated with melatonin is not improved after introduction to bucks displaying springtime sexual activity if these does are experiencing decreasing body weight/condition score
No previous isolation of female goats is required for novel males to induce a male effect, especially if direct physical contact is established
The timing of oestrus, the preovulatory LH surge and ovulation in Blanca Andaluza goats synchronised by intravaginal progestagen sponge treatment is modified by season but not by body condition score
Reproductive control using artificial photoperiod and exogenous melatonin in Mediterranean goats [Utilización de fotoperiodo e implantes de melatonina para el control de la reproducción en caprinos Mediterráneos]

ConferencePaper (3)

Utilización de fotoperiodo y melatonina en el control de la reproducción en la especie caprina
Effect of melatonin Turing the seasonal anoestrous on the reactivation of sexual activity and semen production at the normal breeding season on Mediterranean Bucks.
Reactivación sexual postparto en hembras caprinas Payoya paridas en invierno.

ConferencePoster (13)

Resultados preliminares de la utilización de fotoperiodo artificial de días largos para control de la actividad reproductiva en ovinos.
Photoperiodic control of luteinizing hormone secretion is influenced by nutrition in Mediterranean goats
Breed effect on the use of melatonin implants in Mediterranean goats.
Reactivation of sexual activity in mediterranean bucks after treatment with artificial long days and exogenous melatonin during seasonal anoestrous.
Reactivation of Sexual Activity in Mediterranean Goat Females is not modified by previous tratament with artificial long days and exogenous melatonin used during the seasonal anoestrous.
The onset of the reproductive activity at the normal breeding season is not modified by a previous treatment with exogenous melatonin in Mediterraen goat females.
The use of artificial long days is not effective to enhance reproductive activity but increases sperm production in Mediterranean Bucks.
The use of artificial long days is not effective to induce reproductive activity in Mediterranean goat does without isolation from males. Tipo de participación:
- Effect of exogenous melatonin associated with artificial long days on reproductive parameters in Mediterranean goat males
Efecto de la utilización de fotoperiodo y/o melatonina durante el anestro estacionario sobre parámetros de calidad seminal en caprinos mediterráneos.
Effect of exogenous melatonin associated with artificial long days on sexual activity in Mediterranean goat does without male effect.
- Short term effect of melatonin implants on sexual activityin Mediterranean goat does without male effect.
