Dr Massa lectures on undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes at the University of Malta and abroad in the fields of strategy, international business, innovation and entrepreneurship, and organisational behaviour – including corporate social responsibility (CSR) and ethics in business.
Spanning academia and industry through consultancy assignments in public and private sectors, he has also been engaged in expert involvement on international EU projects. He is actively involved in executive training programmes for managers and practitioners in business and industry.

FRONTEX – Academic Expert in the FRONTEX Partnership Academy Network. Engaged as subject expert in leadership, organisational development and management. Product and programme content development on the postgraduate European Joint Masters in Strategic Boarder Management EU project. Worked together with cross-disciplinary international teams. (Engaged in Finland, Romania, Estonia, Malta). (2012-2013)
Dr Massa has presented his research and contributed at various international conferences and colloquia, and has been invited to give workshops and lecture on his subject at foreign universities. Dr Massa’s research-related and professional international exposure includes Europe, North America and Asia.
Dr. Massa is in charge of Applied Seminars: Globalisation and International Business Strategy. [Week-long applied seminars for Institute of Technology final year participants. IUT, University of Le Havre, France] (2007 to present).
Dr. Massa undertakes knowledge dissemination and transfer, and is associated associated with the Community for Internationalisation and Enterprise Research (CIER), Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, UK (2007 to present );
He held membership at the British Academy of Management (BAM), London, UK. (2009 to present); of the EuroMed Research Business Institute (EMRBI) (2012 to present); and of the Global Scholar Programme member at The Centre for Global Enterprise (CGE), Manhattan, New York. (2015 to present); and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), Arlington, Virginia (2018 to present).
