I have received extensive academic training during my PhD studies. In addition to doctoral course in Denmark, I have completed to two major European Doctoral schools. The first was EUDOKMA - European Doctoral School on Knowledge and Management, during which I took four, a week long, doctoral courses at ESADE (Barcelona, Spain), Uppsala University (Sweden) and Kingston (UK). The second doctoral school was the Nordic Doctoral School of International Business (NORD-IB), where I took 7 courses, each 3 days long, at major Nordic Universities. Part of my doctoral education training I received at Stanford University at SCANCOR research center, led by Prof. Woody Powell and Prof. James March. At Standord, I also audited a course on economic sociology delivered by Prof. Mark Granovetter.
After my PhD studies, I won a highly competitive, globally advertised, post-doctoral position at the London Business School (UK), where I received extensive training within unique research capability development initiative "Advanced Institute of Management Research", with a number of joint PhD and postdoc training sessions and mentoring by Professor Anne Huff (a former AoM President), Prof. Lynda Gratton and Dr. Janine Nahapiet, among others.
I have been involved in the following major dissemination innitiatives.
Sunrise Valley Entrepreneurship Schoool from 2008 to 2012, where by I was transferring entrepreneurship knowledge to last year undergraduate and first year graduate students.
I was involved in Modern Housing Development cluster as a founder, board member and research expert. I delivering research based training to regionally based cluster members on internationalization of companies, collaboration, and innovation.
Lean Government LT. I was spreading Lean thinking in the public sector through training, major conferences held at Prime Minister's Office and globally recognized speakers, and round table discussions at each Government Department (Ministry) and over 40 local government across Lithuania. This took place from 2013 to 2019. Over, 1000 public sector leaders were involved in dissemination activities. As, research, the current Lithuanian government included "Lean Government" project into portfolio of major projects overseen by the Prime Minister himself.
Later, Lean Government idea was further spread with the support research project, funded by the Lithuanian Research Council.The research project based papers were accepted to major European Conference: European Academy of Management (EURAM) and British Academy of Management (BAM).

Tuborg Prize in Business Economics

Modestas Gelbuda was nominated and granted a prestigious Tuborg Prize in Business Economics. It is given to very few doctoral students with highest research potential in Denmark. Prize is given by the Tuborg Foundation to and provides research funding for a visiting doctoral scholar position at leading US universities. With a support of this grant, I was admitted to Standford university, USA.
