In my PhD I studied the extended narrow-lin region in nearby active galactic nuclei. Now I am studying emission-line regions in nearby star-forming galaxies, HII regions in particular, focusing on their detection, classification, and characterization.

I as involved in a project called "Il Cielo come Laboratorio" (The sky as a laboratory) oranized by the University of Padova. The goal of the project is to put in contact high school students with the work of professional astronomers, via classes of astrophysics and hands-on experiences at the Asiago Astrophysical Observatory. In 2017 and 2018 I was in charge of the classes and hands-on experiences for the students of the Euclide high-school, in Cagliari.
