In 2005 Participated as leader of the geochemistry group for the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program IODP aboard the Joides Resolution, Expedition 309, Site 1256D.
UNESCO-SEG. XVIII Curso Internacional de Postgrado en Metalogenia. Quito, Ecuador. June of 1999. The course consisted of one week of classes (ore deposits models) and one week of fieldwork in Ecuador.
Volcanology Field Course. November 23-29, 1998. Antofagasta, Chile. Multinational Andean Project. Consisted of visits to volcanoes "Lascar", "Tumisa", "Purico", "Caldera La Pacana", etc. and the "El Laco" iron deposit and the geothermal field "El Tatio".
