Currently I am researching the regional geology of La Araucanía Region, with geochemistry, geochronology and new mapping through field camp courses, undergraduate theses and research projects. I'm also researching, minerals and mineral deposits.

Manager for six months of the JEOL electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA) model JXA-8900 and the scanning electron microscope model JSM-5610 at UNLV.

In 2005 Participated as leader of the geochemistry group for the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program IODP aboard the Joides Resolution, Expedition 309, Site 1256D.

UNESCO-SEG. XVIII Curso Internacional de Postgrado en Metalogenia. Quito, Ecuador. June of 1999. The course consisted of one week of classes (ore deposits models) and one week of fieldwork in Ecuador.

Volcanology Field Course. November 23-29, 1998. Antofagasta, Chile. Multinational Andean Project. Consisted of visits to volcanoes "Lascar", "Tumisa", "Purico", "Caldera La Pacana", etc. and the "El Laco" iron deposit and the geothermal field "El Tatio".
