He sido invitado a impartir cursos en las universidades de Lleida, Boku (Austria), Joensuu (Finlandia), he codirigido 7 tesis doctorales:; Dra. Olalla Diaz-Yañez (UEF, Finlandia 2018); Dra Teresa Valor Ivars (UAB, 2018), Dra Mari Selkimáki (UEF, Finlandia 2020), Dra Angela Blazquez (Uva, 2021), Dr Goran Krsnick (UdL 2023), Dra Irina Cristal (UdL, 2024), la Dra Marian peris Llopis (UEF 2025) actualmente codirijo 1 tesis doctoral por el ISA (Portugal), y una tesis por la UdL. Los doctores egresados del grupo de investigación han desarrollado una carrera investigadora: 1) Olalla Diaz Yañez actualmente Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Eastern Finland; Joensuu, Finland — 2018-2020. Desde 2020 - postdoctoral researcher in the Chair of Forest Ecology. ETH Zurich. 2) Teresa Valor Ivars. INVESTIGADOR JUAN DE LA CIERVA departamento de ingenieria agroforestal de la Univ. de Lleida, actualmente docente en la UPC 3) Mari Selkimäki., postdoctoral researcher, School of Forest Sciences, University of Eastern Finland, PO Box 111, 80101 Joensuu (Finland). 4) Goran Krsnick, actualmente contratado postdoctoral dentro del grupo solicitante hasta 2025, actualmente INVESTIGADOR JUAN DE LA CIERVA en la UdL 5) Angela Blazquez Casado, jefa de área de selvicultura y cambio clímatico en CESEFOR. 6) Irina Cristal, contratada postdoctoral en la Universidad de Girona. 7) Marian peris Llopis continua trabajando en la UEF

Soy revisor de para múltiples revistas científicas SCI (Ecological Indicators, Journal of Environmental Management, Forest Ecology and Management, Annals of Forest Science, Ecological Modelling, Forest Systems, International Journal of Wildland Fire, Ecological Engineering..). Durante los ultimos años, también he participado como evaluador de proyectos de agencias nacionales en Suiza, Chile, Francia y España.
Además ejercí de coordinador del grupo de Remote Sensing de la SECF (2013-2017), y soy el representante del CTFC en la unidad conjunta JRU Agrotecnio-CTFC.

Análisis de los factores que influyen el la agregación y dispersión de las igniciones en Cataluña, dependiendo de su casuística y Análisis Espacio-temporal de igniciones en Cataluña: Estimación de agrupaciones no características. Ambos contratas por parte de la Generalitad de Cataluña en 2008 y 2010, por un monto agrupado de 30000 Euros

Tambien participe como representante español, en dos contratos del JRC-EU, entre 2009 y 2010, 1) MASIFF: Development of a methodology for the analysis of socio-economic impact of forest fires and economic efficiency of fire management y 2) Framework contract for the provision of forest data and services in support tob the European Forest Data Centre

En 2009, tambine participe en un CDTI, liderado por Agresta S. Coop Clasificación, parametrización y cartografía de especies vegetales en espacios naturales de alto valor ecológico aplicando tecnologías de teledetección, en el que se generaron nuevas metodologias para mapificar combustibles y analizar el riesgo con simuladores.
