Formación de Capital Humano


El Prof. Bent R. Rønnestad ha realizado un aporte sustantivo a la formación de capital humano avanzado en el área de la fisiología del ejercicio. Ha sido mentor de 8 doctorandos, desempeñándose como supervisor principal de 3 tesis doctorales (Øfsteng 2024; Almquist 2020; Vikmoen 2015) y co-supervisor de 5 (Fiolo 2017; Nygaard 2017; Hammarström 2020; Odden 2022; Urianstad 2024). Además, ha sido oponente oficial en 4 disertaciones doctorales y ha participado activamente en comités de evaluación de posiciones académicas (PhD fellows, postdoctorados y profesorado) en distintas universidades noruegas.

En el ámbito de posgrado, ha dirigido 38 tesis de maestría, contribuyendo a la formación de especialistas en entrenamiento y fisiología del ejercicio. Asimismo, ha tenido un rol central en el desarrollo curricular e institucional, siendo el fundador del programa de Ciencias del Deporte (2005), creador del BSc en Health and Exercise Physiology (2008–presente) y del MSc en Training Physiology (2017–presente), para cuya implementación gestionó un financiamiento de 4.6M NOK.

Complementariamente, estableció laboratorios de pruebas de ejercicio que hoy funcionan como Centro Nacional de Testeo para el Deporte de Élite, ofreciendo formación práctica de alto nivel y vinculación directa con federaciones deportivas nacionales e internacionales.
