I have initiated the field of Quantum Optics in Chile, since 1980.
I have organized a series of International Quantum Optics Conferences at different Latin American countries,
in Chile (2000), Mexico(2003), Chile (2006), Brazil (2008), Mexico(2010), Uruguay(2012), Argentina(2014), Brazil(2016), next Colombia (2018)
I also wrote a graduate textbook Quantum Optics (Springer 2000, 2007, 2016) used in many universities.
