    Capacitación en liderazgo, comunicaciones y ciencia. El proyecto de SIP de TNC, busca apoyar a científicos destacados de la institución a desarrollar un proyecto de alto impacto, haciendo visibles sus resultados. El premio fue entregado por el proyecto: "Using Science and Market Access to Foster Reforms in Chile's Artisanal Fishing Sector". El objetivo del proyecto fue evaluar el desempeño del Sistema de Áreas de Manejo en Chile desde una perspectiva biológica-pesquera, social-economica.
