Difusión y Transferencia

Recommendations for achieving land-sahring and wildlife in forestry plantations, based on ecological research carried out by our team has been incoporated in the Protocolo de Plantaciones Forestales 2015-2035, adopted by the National Consejo de Política Forestal, Coporación Forestal Naciona. That is, we has informed policy-making in the forestry sector, avoiding conflicts and enhancing sustainability of this industry.

A companion book was edited to depict the most common animal species found in forestry plantations and facilitate their recogniticion during forestry planning and operations (Simonetti, J.A., Grez, A.A. & Vergara, P.M. eds. 2018. FAUNA NATIVA EN PLANTACIONES FORESTALES. GUIA DE CAMPO. Editorial universitaria, Santiago.

Currently, I serve on the Consejo Consultivo Nacional of the Ministerio del Ambiente.
