In the last three years I have directed and co-directed 6 undergraduate final project works, and 5 master thesis. All of them are related with power electronics and/or control. Additionally, I gave four undergraduate courses related with basic and power electronics, including digital systems, and a graduate course related with control of modern power converters. The main topics of this graduate course are: Multilevel converters, High power factor converters, Digital control and predictive control.
The digital control platforms developed (based on FGPAs), are used by the some research groups at the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico and the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science in the University of Newcastle, Australia.
I have also colaborate in the development of a Very Low Frequency Heating system for drying of distribution transformers with the companies Novo Technologies and Transformadores CH (2012-2013), and I have performed some studies for high input power factor rectifiers for high current applications for the company IDT (2012).
