Using the macromolecular metal complexes Chitosan?MXn and PS-co-4-PVP?MXn (PS-co-4-PVP = Poly(styrene-co-4-vinylpyridine), we have prepared a series of nanostructured M°, MxOy materials by their solid state pyrolysis under air and at 800°C.
