The researcher has contributed to human capital training during the last years by supervising undergraduate and graduate thesis and also by teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses. A summary of the supervised or co-supervised thesis is presented below:
Undergraduate Thesis
3 Completed thesis as supervisor
2 Ongoing thesis as supervisor
1 Completed thesis as co supervisor
1 Ongoing thesis as co supervisor
Postgraduate Thesis
2 Completed MSc thesis as supervisor
2 Ongoing MSc thesis as supervisor
1 Ongoing PhD thesis as supervisor
In teaching, 4 different courses are lectured every year, including two mandatory courses for undergraduate students, and two courses for graduate students. Specifically,
the courses are:
Undergraduate Courses
- Linear Systems Analysis: A course where continuous and discrete time systems and signals are studied in both frequency and time domain.
- Automatic Control Lab: An experimental course where the automatic control theory is put in practice in different experimental setups, including a coupled tank system, a levitation system, and an inverted pendulum.
Postgraduate Courses
-Probability and Stochastic Processes: Here, random variables and related concepts are revisited and extended to stochastic processes. Then, optimal linear estimation and statistical inference methods are studied.
- Multivariable Control: The main properties of multi-input multi-output systems are studied and, based on such properties, different control strategies are presented considering the multivariable nature of the control problem.

Outstanding Reviewer
Automatica, Journal by IFAC
Estados Unidos, 2014
Every year Automatica identifies around 20 individuals, from a pool of about 2000 reviewers, as outstanding reviewers. The selection is done following a nomination process that involves the Editors and Associate Editors of Automatica and is based on outstanding performance an individual has shown as a reviewer, consistently during the indicated period.
