The focus of my research in the last 5 years has been Big Data and data science applied to different areas, such as business or medicine.

My dedication to this area has granted me a good track of publications in the area, including 14 scientific WOS-indexed articles in the last five years. Additionally, I have a FONDECYT project (#11200007) as PI, and I am a co-researcher in two FONDECYT projects (#210735 and #1200221) contributing with my expertise. Additionally, I am a researcher at the Institute of Complex Engineering Systems (ISCI) PIA-BASAL AFB180003 in the Data Science research track.

Data science has given me passion for transdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research with impact. My experience in the business area led me to write a book (Analytics and Big Data: Data Science applied to the business world, Ril Editores, ISBN: 978-84-18982-63-7).

I am part of FONDEF projects in crime as an alternate director ("Integrated information analytics system for the prosecution of crimes against property: artificial intelligence to detect criminal structuresales", FONDEF Idea R \& D - ID20I10230)- and in legal sciences as a researcher ("Development of computational tool for legal certainty in environmental matters", FONDEF Idea R \& D - ID21I10206). Finally, I was a member ANID's inter/transdisciplinary Evaluation Group between the years 2020 and 2021.

Is also worth noting my participation in academic societies and other entities, which reflect my motivation and commitment to research, postgraduate studies and academic life in general. Since 2018 I have been part of the Evaluation Panel for the FONDEQUIP program, and have been involved in accreditation processes of undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the National Accreditation Commission (CNA) and other accrediting agencies since 2017. Finally, I am vice-president and treasurer of the Chilean chapter of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, and part of the faculty of the master's program in Engineering Sciences and doctorate in Engineering Sciences at the Universidad de los Andes, where I am an Associate Professor.

Pertenezco al Instituto de Sistemas Complejos de Ingeniería (ISCI) donde realizo diferentes funciones de difusión. Tambien son chair de ChileWIC donde promovemos las areas de STEM a mujeres de 2 a 4 basico.
