1.5. Participation in other extension institutions.

-President and member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and AirConditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) UO Student Branch for one year 2018-2019. She participates in and leads a group of undergraduate and graduate students for one academic year as president of the ASHRAE Alumni Chapter at the University of Oregon. During this period we carried out a series of activities that link the integration of environmental conditioning systems, heating, refrigeration, regulations, certifications, that promote energy efficiency, well-being, health, and comfortable environments, in the architecture department of the UO. Through tours, special guests and workshops, it is to be able to promote learning processes among students, linking with professional engineers, is one of the main ones of the organization.

-Volunteer in Architects in Schools, of the Foundation of Architects of Oregon AFO. During a quarter he participated in the architects program in schools, where he taught basic education students at the public school "Los dos Ríos" to students with a high vulnerability index, in the city of Springfield, Oregon. The objective is to be able to educate and motivate students and teachers on topics such as architecture and sustainability, and on the profession at an early age.

Invited as a panelist and expert presenter on environmental quality in schools, specifically Air Quality and Thermal Comfort, in the panel: "Casting a Wide Net: Indoor Environmental Quality in Chilean Classroom". -Participation in XIV International Seminar on Architecture and Arts: Sixty years of reality and challenges transforming the territory. International Presenter Architect and expert on environmental quality in schools. Asynchronous session Talk entitled: “Spaces for learning and living: re-thinking the spaces of the future.” Give a 20-minute presentation on the new challenges of design and environmental quality in workplaces and education from the perspective of Christopher Alexander's pattern language. Identifying qualities and new challenges from design and environmental regulations/standards in the post-pandemic period.

2.2. Other research background

-Sub-director of the Vital Signs Laboratory, FAUG, UdeC. Vital Signs Lab is a collective of researchers and designers who share a common interest in healthy built environments. It is located in the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Geography of the University of Concepción, Chile. Vital Signs Lab supports research on human perceptions, comfort, indoor air quality, energy use, and high performance for new and existing buildings in the built environment. The laboratory also offers technical support to courses that measure, analyze and design systems within the University, as well as external consultancy to architecture studios and institutions.
