Direction of more than 30 undergraduate Theses of Metallurgical Engineering and Chemical Engineering students. Direction of 3 Master Theses and 3 Doctoral Theses in Metallurgical Engineering.
More than 30 years of teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels in the Metallurgical Engineering Department, University of Concepción. Undergraduate courses include: Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Hydrometallurgy, Solution Purification, and Size Reduction Processes. Graduate courses for Master and Doctorate programs include: Advanced Hydrometallurgy and Solvent Extraction. In addition, for the Magister in Applied Mineralogy has participated in the courses Extractive Metallurgy and Geometallurgical Behavior of Ore Minerals.
Other teaching activities include: a short course titled Fundaments of Chloride Hydrometallurgy for the Faculty of Geology, Mining, Metallurgy and Geographical Sciences, Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, Lima, Perú (2002), and courses on General Chemistry, Thermodynamics of Aqueous Systems and Leaching and Precipitation for a Diploma on Hydrometallurgy for Engineers of El Teniente Division of CODELCO.
