Formación de Capital Humano

I have directed Advanced Training in Nursing Outcomes Research (T32 NR¬00017104) since its inception in 1999, and I have a long and successful history as a mentor. Since 2010, I have directed the National Hillman Scholars Program in Nursing Innovation at 3 universities to fast track undergraduate nursing students into PhD research training. My record of supervision includes more than 40 scholars, many of which have gone on to independent careers as tenured professors at prominent institutions such as Penn, University of Florida, Yale, Columbia, University of Michigan, NYU, and King’s College London. My mentees have produced a substantial body of research documenting the impact of nursing on patient outcomes that has changed clinical practices and public policies to improve the quality of healthcare both in the U.S. and abroad.
