International cooperation projects: * The University of Chile, a detailed sub-surface characterization of an Iranian oil/gas reservoir which consists of three phases: geophysical, geological and geostatistical studies. It is a consortium project made up of Chilean, Norwegian, and Iranian universities, oil companies, and independent consultants. The aim of the latter one is to develop geostatistical algorithms applied to sub-surface characterization by honoring multi-source data, to investigate the capability of different algorithms, and to generate computer routines for the combined geostatistical simulation of lithofacies and petrophysical reservoir parameters, so as to better understand the reservoir heterogeneity, to quantify the uncertainty and to forecast recovery of fluids from the subsurface. The geostatistical modeling team breaks down into three sub-teams. My role in this project is as a project manager of the geostatistical modeling teams as well as a co-principal researcher (2016-2018).
