Formación de Capital Humano

Throughout my academic career, I have been deeply committed to the development of human capital through teaching, research supervision, mentoring, and capacity-building initiatives. My work has consistently focused on preparing the next generation of researchers, educators, and professionals with the skills and knowledge required to contribute meaningfully to their fields and to society.

I have extensive experience in postgraduate supervision, having guided numerous Master’s and PhD candidates to successful completion. Many of my former students now occupy leadership positions in academia, education, and policy development, reflecting the long-term impact of my mentorship. In addition to individual supervision, I regularly design and deliver post-graduate-level courses that emphasise critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and research excellence.

My contribution extends beyond formal teaching. I have actively mentored early-career researchers, providing support in research design, publication strategies, and international collaboration. I have also participated in training workshops and professional development programs aimed at strengthening the skills of emerging scholars, particularly those from underrepresented and disadvantaged communities.

International collaboration has been a central aspect of my academic practice. I have worked closely with universities and research institutions across several countries, but mainly in Chile, fostering cross-cultural learning and knowledge exchange. These initiatives have enriched the training of students and junior researchers by exposing them to diverse perspectives and methodologies.

My efforts in human capital training have been recognised through invitations to deliver keynotes, run workshops and lead research projects, contribute to curriculum development, and advise on educational policy reforms. I remain committed to ensuring that my work continues to support the development of highly skilled professionals who are capable of addressing the complex challenges facing our societies.

Difusión y Transferencia

I have actively disseminated my research through multiple channels to reach both academic and non-academic audiences. My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, edited volumes, and reports that contribute to the international body of knowledge on education, social inclusion, and refugee studies. I regularly present findings at national and international conferences, ensuring that my research engages with scholarly communities across disciplines. Beyond academia, I have shared insights through public lectures, media interviews, and community workshops, thereby extending the visibility and impact of my research to educators, policymakers, and the broader public.

Transfer
My research has been applied in practical settings through sustained collaboration with schools, teacher training institutions, and government education departments. By developing professional development programs, educational toolkits, and policy recommendations, I have contributed to the integration of inclusive teaching practices within educational systems. In particular, my work on refugee and migrant education has informed curriculum design, teacher training strategies, and community engagement initiatives, directly influencing practice and policy. These efforts reflect my ongoing commitment to ensuring that research outcomes are not only published, but also translated into concrete actions that improve educational opportunities and social equity.
