I have contributed to human capital training through a range of educational activities across different academic levels. From 2022 to 2025, I organized and taught in the IIBM Bootcamp, an annual program designed to equip new postgraduate students with essential programming skills in Python and MATLAB, foundational knowledge in Calculus and Linear Algebra, and an introduction to image processing, all within an interdisciplinary biomedical context. In October 2021, I conducted a workshop for undergraduate students focused on electrophysiology, providing an introduction to EMG, ECG, and EEG acquisition techniques and their applications in research. Between 2018 and 2025, I served as a Teaching Assistant at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, supporting multiple undergraduate and graduate courses including Brain-Machine Interfaces, Bioengineering Capstone, Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Computer Vision, and Advanced Topics in Physiological Monitoring, assisting lectures, guiding practical assignments, and fostering the development of technical and analytical skills. Additionally, from 2017 to 2019, I participated in a pre-university program, teaching biology to high school students from vulnerable backgrounds to strengthen their academic preparation and encourage their pursuit of higher education in scientific fields. Through these initiatives, I have contributed to building technical capacity, interdisciplinary competencies, and academic confidence among students at various stages of their education.
I have actively engaged in the dissemination and transfer of knowledge through various talks and presentations. In 2025, I presented “IA y aplicaciones en salud - Sensores” at the Escuela de Verano iHEALTH, where I introduced students to the role of AI in analyzing physiological signals, with a focus on healthcare and diagnostics. This talk emphasized how sensors used in MRI and physiological monitoring generate data that, when processed with AI, can help identify health patterns, detect diseases, and control devices like prosthetics. In 2024, I delivered the talk “Salud Inteligente: Como la IA está transformando la medicina” at Ciencia al Atardecer, discussing the transformative impact of AI in healthcare, showcasing innovations and future potentials in enhancing diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. I also presented “Imágenes médicas y sensores fisiológicos” at Colegio Papa Juan Pablo II, exploring the integration of medical imaging and physiological sensors in healthcare, highlighting their role in improving diagnosis and patient care. These efforts have been aimed at making cutting-edge research accessible to students, the public, and future professionals in the medical and technological fields.
