Jorge F. Silva is actively involved in the formation of under-graduate and graduate students at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Chile, where he teaches regularly courses on: Estimation and Detection (EL4003: Spring 2012), Statistical Signal Processing (El4005: Fall 2011, Spring 2010), Information Theory (El7001: Spring 2011), Signal Processing (El3005: Fall 2010, Fall 2012).
He has contributed as an advisor to the academic and professional training of 25 graduate students (2 Ph.D. and 23 M.Sc. and Engineers) and has been actively involved in the formation of generations of engineers in the EE Department, Universidad de Chile, Chile.
