Difusión y Transferencia

An important aspect of my professional career has been scientific outreach, which has allowed me to share experiences and knowledge with other professionals and students in training. Currently, I am part of the scientific team at Atom Zoom, which CCHEN promoted to encourage STEM vocations. Within this initiative, I have given talks at high schools (Liceo Carmela Carbajal y Liceo Ciudad de Brasilia) to demonstrate how we can build a more energetically sustainable society, with practical activities on H2(g) generation through electrolysis and the development of photovoltaic cells using recycled technological materials. In October 2023, I participated in an I+D talk at CCHEN aimed at all institution staff and invited researchers, addressing the topic "Perspectiva de H2V en la CCHEN." I have also participated in other scientific outreach activities, such as Volunteers for Science and XVII Science and Technology Week: Science in my school. During 2020, I participated in renewable energy outreach activities on the global warming issue. Specifically, I was responsible for designing and executing an experiment on water electrolysis. This activity was televised by Channel 13 and broadcast by the EFE news agency. Currently, the experience is available to society through the INFOBAE news media. Through this activity, we showed how hydrogen could be obtained from water through electrolysis with energy from renewable sources. This form of H2 generation involves minimal CO2 emissions, which could contribute significantly to the fight against climate change, one of today's most important environmental problems. Another aspect of my scientific outreach work is my participation as a member of the scientific committee at the "VII International Technological Innovation Encounter for Civil, Mechanical, and Systems Engineering Careers," organized by the University Francisco de Paula Santander, Ocaña, Colombia. I was in charge of reviewing and providing feedback on the work in the materials area.
