Líneas de Investigación


- Brown dwarfs: A variety of formation scenarios of Brown Dwarfs exist and so far the collected observations are not conclusive. I am conducting and involved in a number of spectroscopic surveys of the stellar and brown dwarf census (to 10MJup) in star formation regions in order to derive the properties of the lowest mass population as a whole. - Disk evolution: The formation, evolution and final dissipation of disks around solar-type stars brings crucial insights in the formation of our own solar system. I am actively contributing to understanding the differences between disks as function of the host star (/ BD) mass - Virtual Observatory and astrostatistics: The current data avalanche is pushing astronomy towards a change of paradigm where small groups need to analyze large multi-wavelength data sets on daily basis. The Virtual Observa- tory (VO), as a common frame to exchange observational and theoretical data, plays a very important role. I am the PI of VOSA (http://svo2.cab.inta-csic.es/svo/theory/vosa), one of the very first successful attempts to use the advantages of the VO in the analysis of large coeval populations.
