I have directed 8 undergraduate Thesis and 1 Doctoral thesis in the last 3 years. I also participates in teaching of undergraduate students in regular courses of General Biochemistry for students of the schools of Biochemistry, Medicine and Medical Technology. I am Responsible Professor of the course of Introduction to Protein Engineering and Design, for Biochemistry students. I am also Responsible of the course Genimocs and Proteomics for undergraduates students of the school of Biochemistry. I am Responsible Professor of the course of Protein Structure and Proteomics for graduate students on the PhD Program of the Faculty of Sciences. I also participates in the experimental training of at least 2 undergraduate Biochemistry or Licentiate of Sciences students per semester; each one develops an individual research project in the laboratory. I also participates in expreimental training of graduate students that rotations in my laboratory.
I have participated on a regular basis on program of diffusion of basic and applied sciences in schools and colleges of primary and secondary educational level, in Valdivia and Concepción. I also present and discuss the results of our project at least once a year as conferences in the Programa Explora “1000 científicos, 1000 aulas” or in talks to students of the school of our Faculty of sciences. On these activities, I actively promotes the participation of students from the secondary education level or undergraduate students in sciences and in intramural research project. In the last three years I have also participated as evaluator of the project presented for students in the Regional Explora congress.
