Nuestro laboratorio recibe alumnos del programa de post título en gastroenterología de la Pontificia Universidad Católicade Chile. Ellos conducen un proyecto especìfico de laboratorio, que presentan como tesis ante comisión de post grado formada por gastroenterólogos y representantes de Dirección de Post Grado de escuela de Medicina. Dos de estos jóvenes doctores han estado bajo mi tutoría directa (Dr. Rodrigo San Martín y Dr. Andrés Rivas). Además en un trabajo colaborativo con Claudio Cabello-Verrugio se condujo la tesis de Betzabé Irigoyen estudiante de Tecnología Médica de Universidad Pedro de Valdivia. El 2018 se me invitó a formar parte de la comisión de tesis de Felipe Pérez de Arce de su Doctorado en Biotecnología de la Universidad Andrés Bello. Actualmente la alumna de Magister de Ciencias de la Salud, Tiziana Fernández está reaiizando su tesis bajo mi tutoría. .

Difusión y Transferencia


El año 2016 participé como miembro del comité científico de evalaución de postulantes a FONDECYT regular. Además he contribuido a la revisión crítica de proyectos científicos enviados a Sociedad Chilena de Endocrinología. He sido revisor de artículos de las siguientes revistas: : Journal of Hepatology, Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Revista Médica de Chile and Liver International.
Actualmente me desempeño como miembro del directorio de la Asociación Chilena de Hepatología. He participado en 16 charlas en congresos nacionales y 7 charlas en cursos internacionales.
El año 2016 se realizó el Simposio especial de NAFLD, con invitación de mi colaborador internacional Profesor Jacob George.
Participación en diversas entrevistas en medios de prensa y televisión. El 2018 se realizó una actividad de difusión para académicos y pacientes en el día internacional del hígado graso.
Participación en la actualización y desarrollo de la página web www.higadograso.cl desde Marzo 2020.
