From 2008 up today I have directed almost 40 thesis of magister programs and 7 thesis for undergraduated students in economics.
I am also tutoring other 8 thesis in progress for master programs at the economics deparment.
In the last years 7 of young researchers who have worked directly in research project directed by myself have started a PhD program abroad.
In the last 5 years I have participated in near 100 activities of dissemination (trainning programs; technical assistance; non academic and massive seminars) and more than 20 national and internacional academic congresses and seminars.
I usually participate every year in several seminars or/and training activities for policy makers, principals, and education directors from municipalities (chiefs of education department): for example, in SummerTrainning Program at the Asociación Chilena de Municipalidades and Annually Seminar on Education Affairs organized by the National Association of Educational Corporations.
During last 5 years I have participated in 47 research projects related with education sector supported by Ministry of Education, CONICYT, other public entities, private sector, international entities (such as UNESCO, OECD, UNICEF, BID, CEPAL) or non-profit institutions. Some of the most recent have been: i) National Public Investmen in the Chilean Childhood supported by UNICEF; ii) What we know about indigenous effects on schooling outcomes in Latin America?
