National and International collaborations

- CEBIMA: During the last years, the permanent development of the main research line, has allowed the establishment of a formal collaboration between the Universidad Católica de Chile, specifically through CARE Chile - UC, with the Universidad de Magallanes for the constitution of the Center of Excellence in Biomedicine Research of Magallanes (CEBIMA). The main scope of this center is the identification and development of new compounds potentially useful as therapeutical agents against chronic diseases, using the knowledge obtained from basic research focused to investigate the aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems of the Magallanes region and the chilean Antartica.
